Smart Solutions (CPA) is looking for an Assistant Manager: Audit (External) for its Karachi office

The ideal candidate will lead a team of external audit and other assurance engagements department under the supervision of the Partner/Manager for clients based in the USA. The candidate should have strong communication skills, leadership abilities, critical thinking of a situation and will be able to resolve issues by analyzing the situation and build good relationship with our clients. He should be able to follow the instructions effectively of the Partner/Manager and critically think about the significant areas, and demonstrate the ability to effectively and efficiently conclude the audits with a quality review.

Some of the Responsibilities would be:

• Coaching/Training of the audit team
• Leading, supervising and resolving issues of the team while executing
• Preparation of a list of requirements for the client on the portal
• Managing a client portfolio and allocation clients to lead persons
• Quality Review of audit working papers & deliverables as per the required standards.
• Involvement with a lead person in Planning, executing and finalizing audits
• Ability and willingness to learn and teach US GAAP and US Audit standards
• Conducting performance feedbacks of the audit team
• Taking initiatives to add value in the firm’s processes
• Proposing ideas continuously to improve the processes efficiently
• Ability to handle a team of audit
• Think critically when planning to assure project success

Qualifications / Eligibility: 

• Professional Accounting Qualification CA Finalist or ACCA Qualified
• 7 – 10 years’ prior External Audit experience at one of Karachi’s top 10 audit firms
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies

Preference:

• Candidate with external audit experience in Audit firm
• If candidate working in industry, then it must have recent experience in the firm, not older than 1.5 or 2 years
• CA finalist or ACCA qualified
